When I'm filling my cart, I can't help but travel back in time and think of my favorite school supplies. Trapper Keepers Smelly markers and GOOD crayons Those fancy calculators? Some things have changed. Fidget toys and fancy water bottles let me know that self-care and support are important to these little ones and their teachers. This is a great place to raise my family, and there is lots to do. I enjoy "me dates" to local cafes and bookstores, festivals with my boys, and the airport to travel even farther! I'm sharing my stories at @johnscreekbooks on May 24th. Check out their FB event for more info, to RSVP, and come out for Storytime! ----- Join us for our inaugural children's storybook hour! Starting at 11am sharp, local author Tennille Bell will read from her children's picture books. "Ryder's Ride to the Grocery Store" follows Ryder, an expressive, four-year-old boy who loves going grocery shopping with his mom. He likes the many creative ways his mom prepares his favorite foods, but his mom also has some items on the grocery list that may not be to his liking, and he is reluctant to try a funny looking vegetable. His mom promises to be creative in preparing the vegetable in hopes he will like it - but will this funny looking vegetable become his new favorite food? "At the Chicken Nugget Farm" is a story about a little boy named Otto who wants to know; where do chicken nuggets come from? A question young Otto has for his parents one afternoon on the way to the Christmas Festival. When they're not sure what to tell him, he falls asleep in the car and has the best dream ever, answering that very important question! She will also be available to sign her books upon request. Come on by for a great time!
